About Mr Gabriel Ekeyi
The department of Nursing Services is headed by Mr. Ekeyi Gabriel, who was born on the 5th of June, 1967 at Odu-Ofugo in Kogi State.
He hails from Odu-Ofugo, Dekina Local Government Area odf Kogi State. He started his primary school education at LGEA primary school Odu-ogboyaga in Dekina LGA in 1974, where he got his first leaving certificate.
He later proceeded to CMML secondary school Anyigba in Dekina LGA from 1979 to 1984 where he obtained his general certificate of education O-level. In 1987, he secured admission to Benue state school of nursing where he got his registered nursing certificate (RN) in 1990.
In 1991, he secured employment with Grimad Hospital Anyigba, and on the 8th of July he got appointment with the Benue State Hospital Management Board. There he continued to work till the creation of Kogi State and was deployed to Kogi State Hospital Services Management Board, where he served at the general hospital Oguma.
In 1996, he went for peri-operative nursing at University Teaching Hospital, Enugu (UNTH) where he got diploma in peri-operative nursing and management in October, 1997. In 2006, he got admission to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) where he obtained his bachelor of Nursing Science degree (BNSC) in 2010.
In 2014, he went to Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho, where he obtained a Masters in Public Health in 2015. Thereafter, he proceeded to National Teaching Institute Kaduna and obtained a postgraduate diploma in Education in 2016.
